Why a Hardcore Server?

I wanted to see what people would do with one chance on a server. Would people shy away from cooperation in fear of being attacked, or would people work together more? Maybe live a more simple life instead of risking it all for an elytra? Now I know this is an online game, so probably the first option. But, still I am curious.

I also wanted a server to at least stand out a little bit. Over the last 13 years I have made a Minecraft server on 3 different occasions. This being the 4th. Every time, it was the same survival, creative, and whatever mini-game plugins I could add before lagging the server. So now, I just wanted something simple. Plus I wanted a website and my excuse was I could show every player who joined, track their deaths, and just share some history of the server on here. Now again, I know this is a hardcore server, especially one with little to no advertising. I’m sure at best this will see 20 players in the span of a year.
